There are beautiful walking trails along the south shore of the river with a flowering arbour that goes on forever.
We checked out about of our hotel 9:30 am and took a taxi to the Apollo depot to pick up our next home...... Three hours later ... we were on the road north to Noosa about an hour and a half away. We now have a Ford which is a bit smaller than the VW that we had for the first leg. It's a 4 cylinder diesel with a 6 speed manual transmission. Fun wow, especially the round abouts in heavy traffic when you're not sure where you are going .... Also, the layout is similar to last one but the floor is higher .... need to wear a hard hat as Eugene soon discovered when exiting the side door.
The scenery along the way was very similar to northern Ontario.
As we sat outside enjoying our dinner, we noticed a lot of bats flying around. Apparently the ripening fruit in the area has attracted a lot of night time feeding activity from them but they mostly hung out in the treed areas.
