Mon., March 7th. This morning we had a leisurely breakfast and walked to the train station at about 9 to avoid rush hour. We bought "my multi" day passes for $20 each. This allowed us to use the train, bus and ferry systems. It took about 30 minutes to get to Central Station in downtown Sydney on the double-decker train/subway.
We wondered around downtown for a while and then hopped on another train to Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Manly. We got there just in time to board the next ferry.
This was a beautiful 30 minute trip out through Sydney harbour to the coastal town of Manly where we docked on the inside harbour.
We walked across the peninsula along "The Corso" to the beach. "The Corso" is a pedestrian street full of many little shops and restaurants.

This surf beach is beautiful. We walked on the beach for about an hour and a half. The currents are very strong here and swimming is not advised. We stuck our toes in and buuurrrr was it cool. There were several surfers out practicing on the waves. They have a Surf School here and a Lifesaving School. We had a couple of beer and a bite to eat at one of the cute little oceanfront restaurants and then did a bit of shopping. Our last full day in Sydney was a beautiful one. Warm weather (around 28C) a few clouds in the morning and then blue skies.
We'll be dropping off the motor home around noon tomorrow and taking a taxi to the airport. Signing off ..... next stop and blog update will be from San Francisco. For those who are counting 8.4GIG of pictures and video or just over 3000!!! Wife is out of control with the camera... I still love her..... but notice she's in this pic so hubby has also been clicking like a crazy man .... LOL
