Sydney Bridge Walk...

This morning we took a walk down to Sydney Harbour and dropped by the bridge walk location at about 10 to check it out ....  Well, they had an opening for 2 on the next one so no time to be nervous!!!  At 10:15 we began our 3 1/2 hour Bridgeclimb!  Our guide Richard did an awesome job!  We weren't even scared or nervous sort of.  We had to strip down to our skivvies and put on the safety gear.  This consisted of coveralls, tether belts to attach us to the cable line on the bridge, radios and tether straps for sunglasses and hats.

Richard explained the history and construction of the bridge as well as pointing out the sites of Sydney with a great sense of humour.  He also told us stories of the many famous people who he has guided on the Bridgeclimb.  He took several digital photos of everyone during the climb as we were not allowed to bring our own cameras.  The views were spectacular!

Luckily, it was a bit overcast during our climb and there was a light breeze so we didn't sweat to death.

Next, we walked over to Circular Quay and had a beer before walking to the Sydney Opera House.  The sun was out in full strength now and around 32C.  Glad we did the Bridge climb early!  We took lots of pics around the harbour and while heading back to the hotel spotted a White Cockatoo in a tree.  We were exhausted by the time we finished walking back to the hotel arriving just after 4:00 pm.  Time to rest our poor feet.  Tomorrow is another day of exploring!
